Cherry Lynne Poteet

Cherry Lynne Poteet received her Juris Doctorate from The Ohio State University in 1985 and her Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in the Liberal Arts, from The Ohio State University in 1982. While in law school, she was a member of The Ohio State Law Journal and President of the Women's Law Caucus. Cherry received the American Jurisprudence Awards in Evidence and in Family Law. Cherry was honored to be elected to membership in Phi Beta Kappa.

Cherry was admitted to the Bar of the Supreme Court of Ohio in 1985, the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania in 2004, and the Supreme Court of Minnesota in 2010. She was admitted to the Bar of the United States Supreme Court in 1991 and the Bars of the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, Eastern Division, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio in 1986. She is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Pennsylvania State Bar Association.

From 1985 to 1991, Cherry served as Assistant Attorney General for Ohio Attorney General Anthony J. Celebrezze, Jr. Cherry represented the Secretary of State of Ohio, the Treasurer of State and the Police and Fireman's Disability and Pension Fund in numerous lawsuits before the Ohio Supreme Court and in the state and federal trial courts. She was also counsel to the Department of Administrative Services Divisions of Public Works, Real Estate, Purchasing, and Equal Opportunity. From 1991 to 1993, Cherry was Assistant Chief of the Chief Counsel's Staff for Ohio Attorney General Lee Fisher. She represented the Governor, the General Assembly, the Secretary of State, and the Treasurer of State. Cherry argued appeals and original actions before the Ohio Supreme Court and in the Federal Courts and served as lead counsel in jury and bench trials in both state and federal courts. In 1997, Cherry joined Daniel Daniluk, LLC.

Cherry presently focuses her practice on business and commercial litigation and transactions, personal injury, consumer law and municipal law matters.

Cherry and her family reside in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania.
